In four years her high school golf team has never lost a match, not a single match. It’s no wonder that the TAC’s Female Athlete of the Year is Life Christian’s Kristen Rue.

She’s been the number one player at LCA during that stretch, winning three state individual championships and finishing 2nd in the state in the other. Eagles Coach Don Gustafson has enjoyed four consecutive state 1A championships thanks to Rue and her senior team-mates Kelly Miller and Kendyl Prosser.

How does Kristen stack-up against the best female golfers in 4A, 3A and 2A classifications? The WSU Cougars have answered that for you, quick to offer her a golf scholarship as she registered a 70-73-143 score in the championships at the challenging Home Course in Dupont. She’ll be playing as a Coug at Palouse Ridge in the Fall.

Rue is a four-time high school district champion as well as the current Northwest Junior Champion. At the Burlington high Invitational, matched against the best of the 2A and 3A golfers in the state, she won first place as a junior. This year she topped all golfers in the College Golf Combine in California with a sparkling 69.
With a 3.83 GPA at Life Christian, Rue is well over par in the classroom while she’s under on nearly every golf course in the state.
