There’s a lot of sports enjoyment in Pierce County these days but the excitement surrounding Little League baseball seems to be “tops”. The Bonney Lake-Sumner championship team meets Honolulu tomorrow at 4 pm in the opening round of “nationals” at Williamsport and we all should be proud of that. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
To the knowledge of all our sports “experts” … no Pierce County Little League team has ever reached such national consideration before. And by the way, they could use a hand to cover the costs of travel. The TAC and our Tacoma Sports Museum both have decided to help, and we hope you will feel the same way. Let’s show these Pierce County youngsters how proud we are of them and what they have accomplished. A donation toward helping them match travel expenses would be perfect.
