October 9th, 2025 Lunch Meeting - Damon Huard

Join us on October 9th for the Tacoma-Pierce Athletic Commission's monthly meeting! We’re excited to welcome Damon Huard as our guest speaker for this month's meeting! From his days at Puyallup High School to leading the Huskies at the University of Washington, and then going on to play 12 seasons in the NFL, Damon Huard has made his mark both locally and nationally. Now, he serves as the Director of Community and External Engagement at UW, helping to connect the university with the people and communities that make this region so special. Please join us for lunch and an engaging conversation with Damon Huard! Social time will be from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the meeting from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Cheney Stadium.

WIAA 2025-2026 Week 2 - Hannah Van Dusen

Freshman Hannah Van Dusen made an immediate impact in her high school debut, netting a hat trick in Steilacoom’s 3-1 season-opening win over Kingston. Her 3-goal performance powered the Lady Sentinels to victory and set the tone for a strong start to the year.

WIAA 2025-2026 Week 1 - Bryson Allen

Reigning 2A SPSL MVP Bryson Allen opened his senior season with a dominant showing against 3A Lincoln (Tacoma), rushing for 285 yards and 5 touchdowns while averaging 8.6 yards per carry. His performance powered the Cardinals to a 38-29 victory.

WIAA 2025-2026 Week 1 - Aj Tuivave

AJ Tuivaiave led Graham-Kapowsin to a thrilling 40-38 win over O’Dea, throwing for 317 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17-of-31 passing. He also added 21 rushing yards and 3 more touchdowns on the ground, finishing with 5 total touchdowns in the victory.
