The Tacoma-Pierce Athletic Commission is proud to honor Easton Francis as the recipient of the 2025 Clint Names Multi-Sport Athlete Award, a recognition given to student-athletes who exemplify excellence, leadership, and unwavering commitment across multiple sports. In Easton, we find not only an elite competitor, but a young man of remarkable character whose impact stretches well beyond the playing field.
A standout in both football and baseball, Easton has led by example throughout his high school career—both as a fierce competitor and an inspirational teammate. On the baseball diamond, his 2025 season speaks volumes: a .375 batting average, .480 on-base percentage, 22 hits, 24 RBIs, and an OPS of .980. As a pitcher, Easton dominated with a 1.20 ERA, a .689 WHIP, and 62 strikeouts in just over 40 innings pitched, earning him 1st Team All-League honors. His on-field performance is matched by his relentless work ethic and intensity. As his coach describes, “When your best player is also your best teammate, your team is going to have a lot of success—and that’s exactly what Easton is. He never takes a play off.”
On the football field, Easton is equally respected for his physicality, leadership, and consistency. Whether driving plays on offense or holding the line on defense, he sets the tone for his team and is often seen encouraging others, lifting spirits, and setting the standard. He’s not just a captain—he’s the “heartbeat of the team.”
Beyond stats and championships, Easton embodies the core values of TAC’s mission: service, sportsmanship, and scholarship. A strong student with a 3.72 GPA, he leads across campus and in the community. He mentors younger athletes by giving pitching lessons, supports school arts and theater events, and encourages his peers to show up for one another in every arena—from sports to concerts to classrooms. His presence is a unifying force in the school, and his humility and kindness are what make him truly unforgettable.
Described as hardworking, humble, and high-character, Easton is the kind of student-athlete every coach dreams of, every teammate admires, and every community is proud to claim. As one of his mentors shared, “I am a better person and coach because of Easton Francis.”
The Tacoma-Pierce Athletic Commission proudly presents the Clint Names Multi-Sport Athlete Award to Easton Francis, recognizing his athletic achievements, leadership, and the example he sets as a student, teammate, and community leader.
