This past May, the Emerald Ridge Jaguars girls track & field team broke the 4A State Meet Record for most points ever scored en route to claiming their second consecutive State Championship at the 2A, 3A, 4A State Tournament at Mt. Tahoma High School. They won Individual State Titles in seven of the 18 events contested, earning first place in the 100m, taking top-two in the 200m, and winning the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 4x200m relay, shot put, and high jump. This balanced team also had three second-place finishers, scoring points in bundles across running, relay, hurdling, jumping, and throwing events. With their 102 points, the Jaguars become the first team to ever eclipse 100 total points.
