In the first round of the 4A State Softball Tournament, Emerald Ridge junior Alanna Wirtala threw a perfect game against Moses Lake. Wirtala also had complete-game victories over fifth-ranked Kentwood and top-seeded Skyview, as Emerald Ridge made their first ever appearance in the State Championship game.
