The Tacoma-Pierce Athletic Commission is proud to recognize Bailey Andreson of Eatonville High School as the 2025 recipient of the Clint Names Female Multisport Athlete Award. With 11 varsity letters across five sports, a 3.99 GPA, and a remarkable record of service, leadership, and resilience, Bailey exemplifies the heart and soul of what it means to be a multi-sport athlete and community leader.
Bailey's impact on the court is undeniable. As a three-time First Team All-League basketball selection and school record-breaker, she became Eatonville’s all-time leading scorer—surpassing both the boys’ and girls’ career records, with grit, focus, and humility. Despite a devastating wrist injury just before the 2024–2025 high school season, Bailey refused to be sidelined in spirit. While healing, she became the loudest voice of encouragement on the bench, supported her teammates without pause, and returned midseason to lead her team to a league championship, achieving both personal and team milestones.
Her athletic excellence extends far beyond basketball. Bailey has earned varsity letters in volleyball, soccer, track, and tennis, where she’s also been named First Team All-League multiple times. She competed with a UK travel basketball team, played in the Washington East/West All-Star Game, and has been a key figure in JBLM’s AAU program, where she trained under the guidance of U.S. soldiers—instilling pride in both self and service.
Off the court, Bailey's leadership is just as inspiring. She has served as ASB president at two different schools, represented her district before a Senate subcommittee in Olympia, and was chosen by teachers and administrators alike to lead school and district-wide initiatives. She also participated in a prestigious 8-week psychology internship at Walter Reed on JBLM, where she was the first West Coast student ever accepted, earning high honors from her mentor and commanding officers.
Bailey is a tireless contributor to youth sports and her local community. Since 9th grade, she has volunteered at every Eatonville basketball camp and clinic, refereed youth basketball and soccer, provided one-on-one lessons during the pandemic, and created content and social media for her teams. Her work has helped boost game attendance and inspired younger athletes who now look up to her as someone they want to be.
She also brings artistry and heart to her life, playing guitar since age four, performing for school and church events, and building a reputation as a compassionate, approachable role model. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and a fierce advocate for school spirit, often creating hype videos and photography for other sports and school events.
Bailey will continue her academic and athletic journey at Grand Canyon University, where she plans to study exercise science with a focus on sports performance, with the goal of becoming a firefighter—a profession she feels will allow her to combine her physical training with her deep empathy and servant leadership.
The Tacoma-Pierce Athletic Commission is honored to award Bailey Andreson the Clint Names Female Multisport Athlete Award, recognizing her as a scholar-athlete, a resilient competitor, and a selfless leader who continues to uplift her teammates, her school, and her community.
