How do Athletes get Selected as the Athlete of the Year?
The Athlete of the Year is chosen through a thorough and collaborative process. Each season, the Athlete of the Year committee convenes to review all the nominations submitted by Athletic Directors from across Pierce County. At the end of the season, we reach out to Athletic Directors, encouraging them to submit their nominations for the standout athlete from their school. One recipient is selected from each sport, ensuring that exceptional talent across a wide range of disciplines is recognized. Athletic Directors are also encouraged to involve their coaches in the nomination process, ensuring that the most deserving athletes are considered for this prestigious honor.
