Tyce has been a four-year starter on the Curtis High School basketball team. His basketball coach, Tim Kelly, said that Tyce, “has been a leader all four years and has established a legacy as one of the very best to ever play at Curtis. He is a hard worker, unselfish and the consummate team player.” Tyce will be heading to San Diego to play basketball for Point Loma Nazarene University. The 6-foot-4 guard is PLNU’s highest-rated recruit in its NCAA era. All four years at Curits Tyce was named All SPSL First-Team, he is a two- year SPSL MVP, McDonalds All-American Nominee Finalist, SPSL Defensive Player of the Year, Tacoma News Tribune All-Area First-Team and part of the back-to-back Washington State 4A Boys Basketball Champions. The passion for Basketball runs in the family. Tyce’s two older brothers play college basketball too. The oldest played at Northwestern University and the middle of the trio first played at Seattle Pacific, and next year will be joining Tyce at Point Loma. Tyce May be youngest, but he lays claim to the record at Curtis High School as the all- time leading scorer in basketball with 1,514 points.
